How It Works

We do not sell puppies to the first person with a card out. The steps below are how a puppy leaves here.

1. Inquiry

Email or use the Contact form. Tell us your household, whether you have had a Standard (or any coated breed) before, your timeline, and any must-haves. If we are not a fit — wrong size, wrong timeline, or we do not have what you want — we will say so.

2. Conversation

We answer questions and send the contract to read before any money moves. Ask about health testing, grooming reality, and adult size. Those questions help us.

3. Application

We require both a completed application form and a phone call before adoption. Be ready to talk about your yard, kids and other animals in the home, your daily schedule, and who will handle grooming.

4. Deposit and pick

We take a refundable deposit. Pick order is based on deposit timing and amount — a full deposit increases your pick priority, and placement is based on when the deposit is received. Contact us for the current deposit amount.

5. Waiting on the litter

You get updates as the dam whelps and the puppies grow. We do not promise a color or sex until we have seen the litter.

6. Go-home

Puppies must be past 12 weeks and have had all initial vet screenings before they are released to a new home. You come to Belgrade unless we have agreed another plan in writing. Bring a crate. We send food, records, and the signed contract.

After the puppy is yours

We are still the breeder. Text if something looks wrong. If you cannot keep the dog at any age, you return it to us. That is in the contract because we mean it.

What we look for in a home

  • Time every day for a large, smart dog — not a weekend-only companion.
  • A grooming plan. Standard coats mat if they are ignored.
  • A veterinarian you will actually use.
  • A whole-life plan, including who keeps the dog if a job or relationship changes.
